Atlas Copco to accumulate Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public equity agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen within the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide sales and repair footprint. The company employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.four million.
“Industrial pumps is a section that we now have recognized as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated expertise with a robust aftermarket enterprise,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business space. “Wangen Pumpen is a robust brand and is thought for high quality in demanding industrial applications. This acquisition will create a strong basis for additional development in new industrial pump segments.”

The deal is predicted to be completed through the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
