Components of a pressure gauge
The pressure gauge has all the following components:
- Dial : It is a screen for displaying the measured pressure value. It is expressed in various pressure units such as psi , bar , mPa, kg/cm2, etc.
- Bourdon and pressure sensors
- Bourdon Tube is found on analog pressure gauges. Uses Bourdon’s principle of stretching and contraction.
- The pressure sensor found on digital pressure gauges is more complicated than analog.
- Connection point is the point for installing the pressure gauge into the pipe or air line system.
Pressure gauge type
Classification of pressure gauges according to measurement range is the most popular. The types of pressure gauges can be divided as follows.
- Vacuum Pressure Gauge : It is a gauge with a negative pressure range such as -1 to 0 bar.
- General pressure gauge (Nomal PRessure Gauge) : has a pressure range starting from 0 and up, such as 0-10 bar, 0-100 bar, or 0-600 bar, etc.
- Compound Pressure Gauge : has negative to positive pressure values such as -1 to 3 bars, -1 to 5 bars, -1 to 9 bars, etc.
