Danish pump manufacturer Svanehøj has launched its newly developed environmentally pleasant Flow Control system, which automates the management of electric cargo pumps on tankers.
เกจวัดแรงดันดิจิตอล of the newly developed software-based control system follows a profitable check in collaboration with the Swedish delivery company Furetank on the P&C tanker Fure Ven. The 18,000 DWT vessel was inbuilt 2019 as one of Furetank’s V-Series, a brand new technology of climate-smart P&C tankers.
Svanehøj’s system makes it quicker, simpler, and extra efficient to function electrical cargo pumps. It ensures an optimal changeover between tanks and pumps in parallel, decreasing the time needed for cargo discharge by as much as 20% as a outcome of the system will routinely operate at the optimum obligation point. It permits the operator to take full management of the pumps, simplifying the complete cargo discharge operation without putting in any extra hardware.
Fure Ven is among the first vessels at Furetank to have electrical cargo pumps put in. The firm has recorded a 25% discount in energy and gasoline consumption in relation to cargo discharge operations compared to vessels in the fleet which have hydraulic pumps.
