Hayward Tyler awarded pump contract for ITER fusion venture

Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to assist the ITER venture in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will supply 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.

The demonstration facility is underneath building in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and would be the largest fusion experimental reactor on the earth.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps shall be an integral a part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps might be designed, built and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
